The unnatural “natural” brow

I might have discovered a new obsession….the fun in creating pictorials! There’s is something more satisfying in putting all the little pictures of a look together into one solid picture…than sitting here on my phone struggling to figure out the layout of pictures I want to feature. This is a quick and easy brow look I put up and promptly messed up on my Instagram (@rakilitalon).

First off…the products used. I currently love all of the above pictured items for my brows..don’t necessarily use them every day, or even in this order…but I’ll walk you through it as it coincides to this picture.

I like to use MACs fluidline in dipdown with a Sigma E65 brush to line the very lower line of my brows. Then using the E65, you kind of flick the color up into the rest of the brow, going for more of a gradient effect than filling in the whole brow with the dipdown color. Then using Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz pencil in medium ash, I defined the upper arch and did a little filling in of the the rest of the brow. This pencil is AMAZING! You can really do this whole look using only this one pencil, but I like the added dimension the variation of color with dipdown gives the brow. This pencil is almost a little waxy, which gives it this awesome control to perfect the brow, while not really transferring to the skin outside the brow hairs. I then used the BEST EYEBROW SPOOLY IN THE WORLD (yes, the extra drama of all caps lock was needed) which is also part of the brow wiz pencil, to blend all of the colors and move any stray hairs to their rightful place! STAY DOWN BITCHES!  I set this all using Anastasia’s clear brow gel. I used to always use the tinted brow gels from Anastasia, but when I’m in a rush I tend to get brown gel in unwanted places. Not cute. This next step is not necessary, especially when in a rush, but for a more “sesi mama” brow just doooo it. I sculpted the brow using the double sided brush from Urban Decays vice palette and MACs pro longwear concealer in NC15. Blend blend blend…then under the lash used Anastasia’s go brow brow pencil…the highlighting side. This sounds so much more time consuming than it is! But these techniques can definitely be customized for a more dramatic or casual brow….whateva floats your boat!!!
